- Hello from the Island, Bob
It is so beautiful and perfect here. If possible, even more beautiful
than all your fabulous pictures. We couldn't be happier.
I love Kai-Lypso Island House, my favorite one and, of course, some of
the finest people Jan and Willis. We have been out with Willis to
Stingray City twice. First time too windy, yesterday probably too windy
as well. My middle daughter, Grace, almost lost the tip of her
pinky finger between the boat and boat ladder when a wave (more
like swell) slammed her while getting up. It was horrible. Just
horrible. We got stuck on the sand bar for about 15 minutes as well.
It was very panicky and scary for everyone. Poor Willis.
Poor Grace.
Willis called ahead to Jan and Mitsy ( do you know her?) They picked us
up at Kai-Bo. We jumped into Mitsy's truck and she took us to
Tomlinson Memorial Hospital where Grace had to see a hand surgeon.
X-rays revealed no fracture, but the entire nail ripped out, the nail
bed will have damage and the tip had to be stitched back on.
My husband, Steve, is heading back in right now with her. The surgeon
wanted to see it today and re-wrap it. Whew! It was quite an adventure
and Grace was very brave.
Other than that - I can tell you that I would NEVER stay anywhere else
on this island besides here. Never. This whole lagoon thing is
amazing.
Have hung out with Linda and her friend Patty a bit, too.
As you know, I could go on and on and on about the beauty and perfection
of it here, but I have to go retrieve towels at the beach,
do some laundry and clean up.
I'll write again. I thought you'd like to know how much we love
it here!
Off to 7 Mile on Saturday. We went there on Monday for the day so Nick
could golf. SOOOOOOOOOO not my energy!! I would rather be
staying here, but it'll be good to explore a bit. PLUS, it's
the holiday weekend here and Linda said we might be happy to be
exploring
the other side for the last days we are here.
It's all good!!
I'll be in touch!

- Oh, Minneapolis is under a winter storm warning today through
tomorrow. 4-6 inches. Think we're extra happy to be here!!??
