Well kept and clean house. Had everything needed in the kitchen. Nice area. Less traffic, could walk along streets without cars zooming around you. Rum Point is across the street and Starfish Point is a nice walk down the road. Would recommend to friends if they want a more relaxed vacation and away from the traffic and cruise ship crowd.

The house was in great shape. We did have a couple of burned out lights and a beeping smoke detector, but the property manager had someone there to fix in a couple of hours. Fantastic locations--far away from the crowds on Seven Mile Beach, which is what we preferred. Local beach got crowded with cruise ship groups coming to Rum Point on Monday and Tuesday. The Bio-luminescent Bay was really cool in the kayaks at night. It is a long drive to the other side. We never used the ferry because of the time limits for a return trip. They seem timed to serve folks coming to visit Rum Point rather than the other way. We had a great charter from Kaibo with Blair Philpott of Blue Haven charters. We highly recommend him! Don't miss them feeding the Frigate Birds, Tarpon and Reef Sharks at Tukka on the east end on Fridays at 5! That was also our favorite place for dinner.

This was an absolutely excellent property for a family vacation in Grand Cayman. We are 2 adults, 3 children (13 and under), and we definitely would stay here again in the future. It is far from Seven Mile Beach, so if you want to be where the action/nightlife are, you probably want to consider a different property. However, if you want a peaceful neighborhood setting on a quiet cove, with nearby access to phenomenal, deserted beaches, then this is the property for you. We didn't spend too much time at Rum Point itself (the youngest child liked to splash around in the shallows, and we ate lunch there once), but it was nice to be able to walk across the street to catch the boat to Stingray City. Keep in mind the beach bar closes at 5pm (they want you to have dinner at the more expensive restaurant). However, we made the five minute drive to Starfish Point a few times -- what an amazing little beach! There were dozens of starfish in crystal clear water, and even a large stingray swimming around that you could walk right up to. Our advice is to go in the morning, when the beach is usually deserted. We also kayaked out the mouth of the cove to a large beach area that was straight out of a Caribbean postcard. It is technically down the road from Rum Point, but it is difficult to get to on foot, so we always had the beach to ourselves. Crystal clear water, shallow out to 100 yards, simply amazing. Driving around the island was no problem at all. The island is small, and we never felt unsafe. As for the property itself, we were very impressed by how clean it was when we arrived. Considering how much sand is around, the inside of the condo was spotless. All appliances worked properly, and the pool was a perfect place to cool off after a day in the sun. We highly recommend this property and will definitely consider a return trip ourselves.

We stayed at Summer Breeze with my step-daughter and her family (kids ages 13 and 10) to celebrate her 40th Birthday. The location was perfect. The snorkeling within walking distance was great! And, we really appreciated the kayaks and bikes that were at the townhouse for our use. We took the kayaks out every night and a couple of times during the day. Unfortunately, we did have some maintenance issues that were never addressed during our stay, the biggest concern was a plugged toilet and no plunger. Even though I requested a plunger or to have the toilet unclogged it never was. And, the only other issue that made me rate this unit with only 3 stars instead of 4 was after having stayed numerous VRBO's this one had absolutely nothing stocked in the kitchen or bathroom. Not even coffee or shampoo. These items you would typically find in most motel rooms. It was still a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend this unti for anyone traveling to Grand Cayman.

My family booked a last minute trip to Grand Cayman to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. We had never been to the island, so we weren't sure what to expect. We do travel often, so we had a lot to compare both the island and the accomodations to. So let me say we loved both the island and the accomodations. First the accomodations. The villa was everything depicted in the photos and write up. The furnishings were new and the kitchen and baths were nicely upgraded. There were ceiling fans in all the rooms, plus well functioning air conditioning. The kitchen had everything we needed, the washer and dryer were well sized and pretty much all the comforts of home were there too. The location was amazing and exactly what I had hoped for. Having stayed at lots of resorts, I was looking for a more authentic vacation, and this place had it all. Rum Point beach is amazing and we took the glass bottom boat trip to stingray city. It is in our opinion something you must do. We also took the jet ski tour to the mangroves, starfish beach and out for snorkeling. We loved both excursions! Plus we enjoyed the lunches and icy drinks on most days too! We also loved having kayaks available to use each day. Several days we kayaked around to rum point. The blue green of the water is irresistable and we couldn't get enough of it. We also did kayak and see the bioluminiscent bay too... WOW! Pool was also nice and refreshing! As for food our favorite restaurant by far was Tukka on the east end - we ate there twice. We went to 7 mile beach twice, which was nice, but it made us so glad we stayed at Rum Point. Lobster Pot on 7 mile was good too! At the last minute our in-laws ended up joining so we rented a second unit that was also just perfect. This trip and location is great for kids (our too daughters are 10 and 12), young adults, our son and his girlfriend are 21, and for our parents in their late 70's. Something for everyone! We will be back!! Thanks to Chris and Lori for all the information, for your willingness to answer questions and for your kindness too!!

This property was absolutely beautiful! It was so nice and so clean. Everything was decorated perfectly and was brand new. We enjoyed every minute of kayaking, bike riding, snorkeling, sight seeing, and fishing. Spent almost every day swimming in the pool there. We discovered the entire island while staying at Rum Point. There is honestly no reason to leave this side of the island! We will definitely be back!

My Response
Tisha, We are glad you had a great time at our new home away from home!! I have to agree with you, there's really no reason to go anywhere on the island once you're on out side of the island. We look forward to your next visit. Thank you for being our guest!
